Campfire ban lifts Friday

COULEE DAM — Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area will lift its campfire ban at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2.

Campfires will be allowed in established fire rings in campgrounds and day-use areas and on lakeshores below the high-water mark, the release stated.

Beach fires must be smaller than 3 feet across and at least 10 feet from logs, structures and vegetation, according to the park service.
