Davenport tops Entiat, 38-20, in 1B football

DAVENPORT - The Gorillas trailed after the first quarter Friday, then ran away with a 38-20 homecoming win at Hering Field.
Davenport beat Entiat in a game coach Trenton Briney said his players had never won in high school. Entiat was not available for comment.
"It was a great win," Briney said. "The kids were just talking. They've never won a homecoming game in their high school career, so they're pretty excited about that."
The Tigers led 8-0 in the first quarter after a touchdown and a two-point conversion. The Gorillas tied it at 8-8 in the second. Davenport then scored 22 unanswered point...
