Election ballots being mailed

DAVENPORT — Lincoln County is mailing 8,788 Nov. 3 general election ballots this week to voters who will have a say in three statewide initiatives.

Local voters, however, won’t have much to worry about when it comes to local candidates and ballot measures, as every county race is uncontested and there are not any levy or bond measures.

Voters will have a choice on three statewide measures:

Initiative 645 would repeal a 9.9% tax on annual individual income over $1 million, set to take effect in 2028, and prohibit state and local taxes measured by individual income.
