Volunteer available to help with Medicare

ODESSA — A local volunteer is available to help senior residents apply for Meidcare online.

Open enrollment begins today, Thursday, Oct. 15. And Barb Schlimmer, 76, of Odessa, is here to help Lincoln County Hospital District No. 1 (Odessa) voters navigate the online system.

Schlimmer came back to town in 1978 and was clinic manager before the clinic joined the hospital in 1987.

She is not limited to hospital patients. She helps anyone in the district who asks, she said.
