Odessa deputy clerk leaving post

ODESSA — Town Deputy Clerk Mary Hoy is resigning her post.

During a Monday, Oct. 12, meeting of the Town Council, Clerk-Treasurer Jaime Nelson notified councilmembers of the vacancy.

Nelson said interviews of candidates to replace Hoy were scheduled to start Tuesday, Oct. 13.

During her report, Nelson also updated the council on the status of a new ballot drop box, just in time for the Nov. 3 general election.

The new drop box is located in front of the town Public Works building.
