Pauline Marie Stuckle Drefs

March 18, 1937 to Oct. 9, 2026

Pauline Marie Stuckle Drefs passed away on October 9, 2026, in Wilbur, Wash. Known as Polly, she was born on March 18, 1937, in Reardan, Wash., to Albert and Gertrude Reinbold Stuckle. She spent her early years on the family's wheat, cattle and chicken farm in Rocklyn, Wash. where her brother, Eugene "Gene," taught her many important lessons about growing up. Polly graduated from Davenport High School in 1955.

After high school, Polly began working at the Lincoln County ASC office, where she met Ernest "Ernie" Drefs in the fall of 1955. They married on July 26, 1956, at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, Wash. Their beloved daughter, Cheryl, completed their family on June 3, 1957. Polly continued working part time at the ASC office before joining Paeper's Variety Store, which later became Davenport Pharmacy. She worked there for 24 years before retiring in 1995.

Polly lost her husband, Ernie, on July 26, 2000-their 44th wedding anniversary. Determined to remain active after his death, she devoted herself to Zion Lutheran Church, the Happy Hookers Sewing and Community Club, Rocklyn Homemakers, Habitat for Humanity, Study Club, and Claire's Pool Foundation. Grass never had a chance to grow under Polly's feet! In her spare time, she enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing quilts for missions, gardening, listening to music, snowmobiling, and motorcycling. She even went skydiving on her 70th birthday! Polly was often seen walking around Davenport, a pastime she loved and continued until well into her 80's!

Polly is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Drefs Pryor, and her husband John of Electric City, Wash., her brother Gene Stuckle, of Davenport; her step-grandchildren, Zach Pryor and Paxton Davis; and her four step-great-grandchildren, Nicole and Arya Davis and Kaysen and Crew Pryor. Many other friends and relatives will also miss her presence in their lives.

Polly was preceded in death by her father, Albert Eugene Stuckle; her mother, Gertrude Anna Reinbold Stuckle; her husband, Ernest "Ernie" Drefs; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Polly leaves this life to be reunited with the two she cherished most: her Lord God and her beloved husband, Ernie.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church located at 1007 Washington St. , Davenport, Wash.
