An old storage room at school was cleaned out recently, where staff members found some old beautiful light fixtures from the old Odessa High School. Wilbur-Creston defeated Odessa-Harrington’s volleyball team Saturday, October 29, in a grueling 5-game match, 30-28, 23-25, 25-13, 22-25 and 15-6. Eight public school districts have been selected to participate in the Teacher Principal Evaluation Project (TPEP) Regional Implementation Grant for the 2011-12 school year. Fall quarter 2011 full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment dropped 9.6 percent at Big Bend Community College compared to 2010. By headcount--all students taking at least one class--enrollment is down 12.6 percent from fall 2010, according to college officials. The Booster Club will hold a dinner and auction on October 8, 2011. Happy hour starts at 5:30 with dinner at 6 p.m. Dinner will include steak grilled on an outdoor grill by Riders Club members, and music will be provided by Larry Moffet and Jeff Wehr.
