As spring temperatures rise, the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is warning Washington homeowners of a seasonal asphalt paving scam in which you may be pressured to have your driveway repaired.
The scam typically works by a friendly representative approaching a homeowner offering to repave a driveway for a great price, claiming they have just enough asphalt left over from another job nearby. The representatives are usually polite, drive nice work vehicles and can be very persuasive.
