"Flashlight Reading Night" June 7 in multipurpose room

Odessa Elementary School students are invited to a Flashlight Reading Night on Tuesday, June 7, at 6 p.m. in the school multi-purpose room. This will also be a kick-off event for the Summer Story Hour at the public library.

Students are to bring parent(s) and siblings, a flashlight, books, a pillow or blanket, and they may even wear PJs and/or slippers if they wish. Prior to the reading time, a snack of hot dogs, potato chips and lemonade will be served. Then the lights will go off, and the flashlights will come on as students read to or with their parents.
