No killer bees here, just good old-time honey bees

Odessa Deputy Marshal Bryce Peterson got one of his stranger calls for service this past week. A swarm of bees landed in the roadway just outside of Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center.

The bees all remained pretty much in a clump in the roadway, even as people tried to run over them to chase them away. They stayed, however, and Peterson was at a loss. After consulting with Odessa Public Works director Roger Sebesta, however, he was referred to local resident Harvey Delzer, who has been a beekeeper in the past.
