Nicole Emerson, Keia Baird, Colton Melgren, Makayla Baird, Lukas Marshall and Nick Kuest stand ready to serve up chili and various soups at a youth group ski trip fundraiser December 21 at Heritage Church.
The combined youth groups of Christ Lutheran Church and Heritage Church in Odessa, put on a “soup supper” for the community on Wednesday, December 21, in the basement social hall of Heritage Church.
Parents did the cooking and the youngsters did the serving and cleaning up. The soups included various types of chili, as well as a chicken noodle soup for those not particularly fond of chili. Desserts were also served and included cookies, cakes and pies.
Donations were requested to help defray the cost of a planned ski trip to Lookout Pass on December 28-29. Plans were for them to leave early Wednesday, stay overnight in the lodge and then spend most of the next day on the mountain before coming home that evening.
