Titans overcome Waterville in 56-12 drubbing there

On Friday, October 19, O-H defeated Waterville Shockers, 56-12.

Running back Sam Schafer started the Titan blowout with a 52-yard run for a touchdown, followed by another running play into the endzone for the extra 2 points.

Quarterback Justin Hunt scored next for the Titans, running the ball from 8 yards out. The extra-point attempt (EP) was no good.

Markus Smith handled the third score of the quarter on a 5-yard run. Schafer ran for the 2-point conversion.

Waterville scored finally on a 3-yard run, but the EP was no good.

In the second quarter, Hunt connected with Cade Weber on a 60-yard pass play. EP was no good.

Schafer then broke away for a 67-yard run, but again EP no good.

A final Hunt-to-Cade Weber bomb for 65 yards wrapped up the first half scoring. EP no good.

The third quarter was almost all Sam Schafer’s. He scored on a 75-yard run and scored again, running for the 2-point conversion. He also broke out for a 65-yard run for another TD. Dillon Dennison ran for the 2-point conversion.

In the fourth quarter, Waterville managed to break away for an 80-yard run and TD. The EP pass was no good.

Schafer had 8 carries for 299 offensive yards. Smith had 2 carries for 45 yards and 3 pass receptions for 70 yards. Hunt carried the ball 4 times for 25 yards and completed 6 of 8 pass attempts with 1 interception. Carsen Weber had 4 carries for 21 yards and 1 pass reception for 7 yards. Dillon Dennison had 6 carries for 29 yarsds, and Cade Weber had 3 pass receptions for 150 yds.
