Baumgartner leads Conroy in County

DAVENPORT - Despite a close district-wide congressional race, Lincoln County voters are overwhelmingly supporting incumbent Michael Baumgartner in the Nov. 3 general election.

After the initial count of ballots Tuesday night here, Baumgartner, R-Spokane, was leading Carmela Conroy, D-Spokane.

Baumgartner has 2,950 votes, or 73.2%, to Conroy's 1,067 votes, or 26.5%, in Lincoln County, according to the Lincoln County Auditor's Office.

District-wide, the 5th Congressional District race is much closer.
