Monday, Nov. 11: A Harrington man reported hearing "strange noises coming through his wires and showerhead" at his residence in the 400 block of Main Street and thought the source "might be a neighbor playing a joke."

Tuesday, Nov. 12: Burlington Northern Santa Fe was advised of a train moving through Harrington that appeared to have smoke and flames coming from an engine.

A Davenport man reported being a victim of credit card fraud.

Lincoln County Pharmacy personnel in Davenport reported a fraud incident at the store.

Wednesday, Nov. 13: Ten cows were reported out on property along Speigle Canyon Road north of Wilbur.

A Davenport woman reported that a fraudulent charge totaling $3,000 was made in Tacoma on her credit card.

Thursday, Nov. 14: Davenport ambulance and Reardan emergency personnel assisted a man with a broken leg in the 100 block of East Railroad in Reardan. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A blonde-haired man in his 20s wearing black coveralls asked to come into a woman's residence on Carstens Road near Reardan. He left without gaining entry and was later observed on SR 2 near Waukon Road walking towards Reardan.

An abandoned vehicle was found in a dry creek bed near the intersection of Teel Hill and Old Hughes roads north of Davenport.

A Davenport woman reported fraudulent charges totaling $779 were made on her Wal-Mart money card in Alabama and New York earlier this month. In a separate report, another Davenport area woman advised that an unauthorized $110.64 charge was made on an AmericanWest Bank account by someone in McHenry, Ill. A third report involved fraudulent charges on a Davenport woman's US Bank credit card made at three stores in Massachusetts, including Target and Wal-Mart.

Friday, Nov. 15: Deputies checked out a report that someone had been living in a van parked in an alley behind the 300 block of Eighth Street in Davenport.

A Davenport woman reported her credit card had been fraudulently used twice in Columbus, Ohio, on Nov. 8. In a separate report, a Davenport couple said that $504.82 had been charged on their Wheatland Bank account by someone in Columbus, Ohio, one of eight unauthorized charges.

Saturday, Nov. 16: A Davenport man reported receiving what he described as harassing phone calls and text messages.

Two pitbull type dogs are believed to be at the center of reported attacks on other dogs in the 500 block of West 3rd in Sprague.

Deputies investigated a report of three "suspicious" men and a gunshot heard in the vicinity of Miles Road.

A one-vehicle rollover collision was reported on SR 231 just north of Little Falls Road.

Reardan Police responded to a report of a vehicle with a broken window parked outside the high school.

Reardan Police checked out an apartment building in the 200 block of Lake Street after a strange noise was heard from one of the units.

Sunday, Nov. 17: Harrington ambulance personnel assisted a 60-year-old man with unknown medical problems.

Deputies checked out a report of loud music from a residence in the 300 block of Washington Street in Davenport.

A caller reported that a semi-truck pulling an empty flatbed trailer was driving on the wrong side of SR 25 about two miles north of Davenport, forcing her from the roadway. The truck driver explained to the deputy who stopped him about 12 miles later that he had dropped a water bottle, thought he "hugged the center line, but didn't cross over into the other lane."

Creston emergency personnel responded to the 300 block of NE Adams Street to assist a 52-year-old woman who experienced complications from medication.

Wilbur ambulance personnel assisted a 77-year-old woman in the 500 block of NW Armstrong Avenue.
