Reductions in round trip Fourth of July fares to approximately one cent a mile have been announced by Great Northern railway officials. The reduced rates apply to most points in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.

In one of the biggest land deals in recent years, the 3720 acre holdings of the Centennial Milling company, part of the former John C. Ingle ranch north of Lamona, was sold to Odessa investors for more than $108,000.
