Monday, June 16: A Davenport woman reported her daughter received suspicious text messages and calls on a pre-paid phone card.

A Springdale man was arrested for theft and criminal trespass in connection with an incident in the Waukon area.

Three or four jars and the tops on syrup containers were reported missing from a residence in the 400 block of West 4th in Sprague, where several stacked boxes appeared to have been gone through.

Wilbur Police responded to an assault report in the 700 block of SE Main Street.

Tuesday, June 17: Deputies investigated a theft incident involving a woman hospitalized at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

Deputies investigated a possible sex offense reported in Davenport.

Injuries resulted from a two-vehicle collision at Broadway (SR 2) and Aspen in Reardan. A woman was transported to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport for treatment.

Deputies attempted to locate an 18-year-old Edwall man who was reported missing by his father.

Officers responded to a collision on SR 231 north of Reardan.

Reardan Police responded to the 300 block of Railroad Avenue where a woman and man had a verbal dispute.

Wednesday, June 18: A bag of marijuana was discovered at the Coleman Oil gas station in Sprague.

A Harrington resident reported that grass and lawn waste was dumped on his property in the 400 block of Main Street.

A deputy spoke with parents of kids playing in the Pioneer Plaza fountain in downtown Davenport.

An Almira caller reported a burglary at his Monson Road East residence. Among items missing were a Xbox, iPad and jewelry.

Thursday, June 19: A motorist reported almost hitting a bicyclist traveling in a group of six or eight on SR 28 between Davenport and Harrington.

Deputies checked on a Creston woman about whom her sister was worried after a "heated" argument with her boyfriend.

A group of five vacuum cleaner salesmen from Oregon appeared "suspicious" to residents along Hampton Road East in the Edwall area.

A resident of Cougar Ridge East reported a trespasser on his property to the north and west of Reardan.

Davenport ambulance personnel and EMTs from Reardan and Edwall responded to a two-vehicle injury collision at the intersection of SR 2 and Bennett Road west of Reardan. After firefighters used extrication equipment, a man complaining of chest pains and five children with possible minor injuries were treated at the scene.

A caller told dispatchers that rocks thrown from a pickup truck pulling a small backhoe had broken his windshield while traveling on SR 2 near Wilbur.

A man told Reardan Police that his vehicle was hit while parked on Lake Street.

Friday, June 20: Deputies responded to an animal at-large report from the vicinity of Hawk Creek Road and Johns Rocky Way.

Residents of the 800 block of Tenth Street in Davenport reported the theft of a mountain bike valued at $100 from a backyard.

Deputies investigated a cyberstalking incident from the 400 block of Glover in Harrington.

A party in a Superior Court matter reported that a signature on legal papers included in the file that is supposed to be his actually was not.

An Almira man told dispatchers he believes someone loosened the lug nuts on his vehicle, which lost a tire while traveling home from the Grand Coulee area.

After callers reported hearing possible gunshots in the 100 block of SW Pope, Wilbur Police discovered people had placed things in an outdoor fireplace to explode.

Reardan Police investigated reports of domestic assaults, including one where a man allegedly pulled a knife on a caller's niece.

Saturday, June 21: Harrington firefighters responded to a report of smoldering railroad ties in the vicinity of SR 28 and the Harrington Tokio Road. They discovered malfunctioning crossing arms at Knapp Road, which Burlington Northern Santa Fe personnel said they'd handle after fixing crossing arms at Cloverdale and SR 231 in Edwall.

Eastern Washington Gateway Railroad personnel were advised of malfunctioning crossing arms at Division Street in Wilbur.

Getting loose through a fence, a bull was discovered along SR 2 west of Davenport.

Davenport ambulance personnel transported a man from Cottonwood Springs Apartments to Lincoln Hospital after a caller advised he was "acting strange."

Alarms connected with equipment at both Davenport schools were activated.

After responding to a report of smoke in the area of Redwine Canyon and Sterling Valley roads, firefighters from Creston and Lincoln discovered the source was a campfire.

A collision involving a deer and vehicle was reported on SR 2 between Creston and Wilbur.

Deputies responded to a report of a verbal dispute between a man and woman in the 100 block of East Railroad in Reardan.

Reardan Police arrested a woman who allegedly entered a man's home in the 200 block of South Maple Street while he slept.

Sunday, June 22: A large bull was discovered walking down the centerline on SR 2 near Sam Knack Road.

A Creston man reported the theft of a 1995 Jeep Wrangler from the 100 block of SE 1st. It later was located on Smart Road.

Two deputies responded to Harrington after receiving a report that a man there was potentially suicidal after a breakup with a girlfriend.

A caller advised that four dogs continually chase her and her husband while riding horses near their residence on SR 231 and Fisher Road.

A Reardan man was taken into custody after a domestic violence incident involving his wife and daughter at a residence on Bull Run Road.

New Criminal Cases

Kara-Lyn Fithen, 30, of Grand Coulee, is charged with second-degree theft in connection with alleged thefts of mail from boxes on Telford and Miles Creston roads and Deer Heights Drive between May 11 and 14. In one case, a $1,675 check was taken and cashed.

Gary Steven Beck, 62, of Reardan and Maple Valley, Wash., is charged with second-degree theft in connection with alleged misappropriation of more than $49,343 intended to pay for his mother's medical and hospitalization expenses between Dec. 5, 2013, and Feb. 5, 2014.

New Civil Cases

Capital One Bank seeks payment of $2,045.29 in credit account obligations it claims is owed by Mary P. and "John Doe" Pollard of Davenport.

Filing against Richard and Susan Stoddard, of Reardan, William F. and Dee Ann A. Rice, of Rathdrum, Idaho, seek payment of $52,224.75 to repair property damage at a rented residence on Oehlschlaeger Road along with $3,718.17 in unpaid rent and $12,972.53 to cover expenses during the time the property was "unrentable" while repairs were made.
