Jean B. Parr

Jean B. Parr (92) of Harrington, passed away Tuesday morning, September 1, 2015 in Davenport. Born in Reardan to Homer and Clara Kennedy on February 22, 1923, Jean moved to Odessa at a young age and graduated from Odessa High School.

On November 6, 1941 in Odessa, Jean Kennedy's life took a lifelong turn when she married Robert Parr of Harrington. Together they settled in the Mohler/Harrington area and raised their family, all of whom thrived on Jean's wonderful cooking. Jean enjoyed being an active lifetime member of the Eastern Star of Davenport.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 32 years, Robert Parr (1973); son, Stanley Parr (2005) and son-in-law, Jim Ross (1998), Jean's legacy lives on through her daughter, Nancy Ross of Bothell; two grandchildren, Shannon Harvill (Chris) and Jason Ross (Becca) both of Snohomish; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Harvill, Ashley Harvill, Marshall Ross and Emmie Ross; her sister, Laura Hardt of Spokane; sister-in-law, Colleen Parr of Marietta, Georgia and numerous nephews and nieces.

A visitation for Jean will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, with her graveside service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Harrington Cemetery.

Jean's family requests that any donations be given in her memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 911 W. 5th Ave., Spokane, WA 99204.
