ROCKFORD —Reardan swept Freeman in a varsity basketball doubleheader Tuesday night at Freeman High School.
In the girls game, Reardan rolled to a 65-37 victory, leading 40-19 at halftime and never looking back. The Screaming Eagles (1-0, 1-0 Bi-County) outscored the Scotties in every quarter.
The Reardan boys nearly pulled off the sweep but fell 55-54 in a thriller. Freeman (1-0) erased a 35-22 halftime deficit, outscoring the Screaming Eagles 33-19 in the second half to steal the one-point win.
Both Reardan teams host Liberty on Friday, Dec. 5. Freeman travels to Pullman on Wednesday.
