Clark Miller

Clark Miller (77) was born October 5, 1938, to Fred and Katherine (Gies) Miller in Ritzville.He was raised in Odessa through 10th grade and graduated from Davenport High School in 1956. Clark married Hazel Buell on June 15, 1958. In the fall of 1961, they moved to a farm three miles north of Mondovi, where he lived until his death. Clark drove a Standard Oil fuel truck (for Dale McGath) from the fall of 1957 to 1961, delivering fuel to customers in Davenport, Fruitland, Springdale, Hunters and points North. He was elected to the Davenport Union Warehouse Board in 1972, he served 21 years until 1996, serving as president for three years. Clark started a farm mobile air-conditioning business, Miller's Repair, in July 1977, servicing farm equipment until he semi-retired in December 2007.Clark and Hazel were blessed with two children, Vince in 1965 and Lisa in 1966.

Clark retired from farming after harvest in 2003. He was very ingenious, fabricating and improving special tools or accessories he needed for a project. He also built special decorative metal; he could heat, bend or weld and it was a challenge that he loved. He built the chassis for the Davenport Community float. Clark is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel, his son Vince, his daughter Lisa, a grandson Christopher (fiancé Whitney Graham), a granddaughter Leah (Dan) Gurske-Hill; great grandchildren: Eli Gurske, Kalli Hill, all of Spokane, a brother Myrl (Mary) Miller of Odessa and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law Glenn Buell and Ting Baker.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 12 p.m. (noon) at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, with Pastor Dirk Robinson officiating.
