Junior-high boys begin b-ball season

The junior-high boys basketball season has begun with a large turnout of 25 kids in all, eight sixth-graders, seven seventh-graders and 10 eighth-graders.

Last week Tuesday, the team traveled to Lind to take on the Lind/Ritzville/Sprague Broncos. The varsity team won 55-11, and the junior varsity won 35-17.

The following Thursday, the Titans hosted Liberty in Odessa. The varsity came out fast and aggressive, which was too much for Liberty to handle. The final score was 66-24.

The junior-varsity team lost their game 28-48, as did the C-squad team 8-37.

The junior-high Titan boys basketball team will host home games in Odessa on February 1, 4, 11 and 16, with all games starting at 4 p.m. Head coach Larry Moffet and assistant coach Dalles Deife encourage community members to come out and support these young athletes as they play hard and compete to the end.
