Titans travel to Colville for first meet of season

The Titan track team had its first meet of the season in Colville Saturday, March 26. For the boys, Gaven Elder placed ninth in the 100 meters, 10th in 200 meters and 17th in long jump.

Colton Melgren placed 25th in the 1600 meters, 43rd in the discus and 47th in the javelin.

Cole Kissler took 11th place in the javelin and eighth in the pole vault.

Aaron Gies was second in the 110-meter hurdles, third in the 300-meter hurdles and 37th in the javelin.

Colby Sooy placed 16th in the shot put, 10th in discus and 21st in the javelin.

For the girls, Shelbey Watkins placed 10th in the 100 meters, eighth in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in 300-meter hurdles.

Amber Smith placed 22nd in the 200 meters, 20th in the 100-meter hurdles, 9th in 300-meter hurdles and 19th in the triple jump.

Sarina Goetz was 42nd in the shot put, 32nd in the discus and 24th in the javelin.

Casey Schlomer placed fifth in the discus, third in the javelin and 11th in the pole vault.

Lanessa Simon placed eighth in the high jump, second in the pole vault, first in the long jump and first in the triple jump.

The next meet for the Titans is the Deer Park Invite on Friday, April 1, beginning at noon.
