Letter to the Editor: Positive view of Trump by Davenport area reader

I am voting for Trump, and so should you. I’m not just voting against Hillary, I’m voting for a change in politics. Trump represents the best vision for America. I was excited about Trump soon after he announced his candidacy. At first I was like most people; I thought he might be grandstanding for his own personal gain. But Trump kept going. His message became sharper and more focused. Every time the media said he went too far he survived and built even more support. Trump was not alone. Millions of Americans joined him and felt inspired to Make America Great Again!

There is something about Trump that resonates with the forgotten people who make this country work. Trump isn’t a conservative ideologue. He is an American ideologue. Trump is for America. Politicians have failed this country. It’s time that someone other than a standard corrupt politician takes the leadership role. Let me quote Wash. state senator Don Benton, “The U.S. has reached a point where the nation needs a president who is not tainted by political experience.”

So when you get your ballots in the mail and you sit down to fill them out, I ask that you think about your vote. If you vote for Hillary Clinton, you are voting for a corrupt politician. She is a monster of the worst order. Some might not want to vote at all, but remember there are other people who will vote. You must vote for the better of the two options.

Voting for Trump in the election doesn’t mean that you are personally responsible for Trump’s decisions. Trump is responsible for Trump. It doesn’t mean you have to agree with every word that Trump says. Voting for Trump doesn’t define your personal character or morality. Voting for Trump means that you are tired of professional politicians and the media tactics of defining your feelings and shaming you for not doing what “they” want you to do. Vote for a new vision. Vote for Trump. Make America Great Again!
