Odessa Healthcare Foundation board members Brenik Iverson, Lecia Fink, Danielle Scrupps, Nancy Floether, Mo Sheldon and Jackie Johnston (on the stretcher) are given a demonstration by RN Jessie Ibarra of the new equipment purchased using monies raised at the most recent Wine Tasting and Auctions event.

At a demonstration provided by Jessie Ibarra, RN, at the local hospital emergency room recently, members of the Odessa Healthcare Foundation Board learned about the Glidescope and the specialized ER trauma stretcher that were purchased with proceeds from the May 2017 benefit auction for the medical facilities.

The Glidescope is a modern technological advancement that gives providers a visual view via camera when the urgent need to intubate arises due to a patient's inability to breathe on their own.

The ER trauma stretcher allows for X-rays to be conducted without moving patients from the stretcher to the X-ray table. This is especially beneficial to patients who are in extreme pain.
