Kaedin Schorzman takes sixth place in the state FFA competition in tractor driving at Moses Lake in November.

Back on November 16, Kaedin Schorzman did an outstanding job at the Washington State FFA tractor driving competition in Moses Lake. He placed sixth out of 97 contestants, scoring 289 out of 300 points.

This was the first time in a while that Odessa's FFA chapter has competed in tractor driving, so being able to take two teams and place sixth is quite an accomplishment, said FFA advisor HaLee Walter. Clint Campbell of Odessa helped teach the driving portion of the course to the FFA students, and farm equipment dealer Walter Implement lent the class a tractor to practice with.

FFA tractor driving events are designed for the purpose of providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate proper tractor operation skills, safety and knowledge.
