Criminal Sentencing

Scott Wayne Gage, 45, of Spokane, pleaded guilty April 16 to theft of a motor vehicle in connection with the taking of a vehicle from Whitman County between Nov. 21 and 26 of last year that was located near Sprague. Gage was subsequently arrested in Cheney. As a result of plea negotiations, prosecutors withdrew a charge of second-degree theft in connection with the taking of a tractor battery owned by Lincoln County Public Works. His sentence includes 26 days in jail and payment of $800 court costs and restitution still to be determined.

New Civil Case

US Bank Trust filed a foreclosure petition against the unknown heirs and devisees of Edward William Reichenbach (Jr.), Kisha R. Miles and Brenda B. Reichenbach. The matter involves property at 215 SE Milmont Street in Wilbur (Lots 13-16, Block 93, Railroad Addition to Town of Wilbur) and a 2007 loan that is in default with $33,835.65 and interest owing.
