Marlin/Odessa shooters are still in second place

On January 26, the Spokesman-Review Trapshooting Contest entered week four. After the first three weeks, the Marlin/Odessa Gun Club score for Division I teams left them still in second place after the first-place Yakima Valley Sportsmen. Five points now separates the two teams.

Marlin Gun Club

Out of 55 shooters, Mark Iksic was the only one to shoot a perfect score of 25 Sunday.

Shooting 24 were Dan Asker, Mark Edwins, Bill James, Rich Swanson and Chuck Ray.

Doug Starkel, Daryl Kimble, Carmen Eckhart and Josh Gray all shot 23.

Austin Nelson, Mark Brashear, Camden Eckhart, Ken Eckhart, Kyle Starkel, Tyson Visker and Izabelle Kramer all came in at 22.

With scores of 21 were Dave Asker, Scott Mortimer, Doug Brashear, Ron Lesser, Brent Finkbeiner, Taeven Brashear, Kaden Johnson, Jessica Winston, Noel Bowden, Bryan Winston and Kevin Heer.

In the 20 and under catagory were Jim Imbert, Todd Druffel, Juan Rocha, Rob Imbert, Gage Starkel, Jake Bennnett, Chad Jackson, Susan James, Brian Finkbeiner, Andre’ Morales, Teri Kramer, J.D. Bluhm, Garrett, Johnson, Jon Hettingh, Dakota McAfee, Mark Kramer, Jessie True, Charlene Krause, Shana Gallaway, Cort Kimble, Brayden Finkbeiner, Kolby Lyon, Trevin Lowry, Wiley Kimble, Travis Visker, Miller Stout and Shannon Kellam.

The High Handicap shooter was Juan Rocha.

The High Doubles contest went to Mark Edwins,

Jon Hettingh took first and and Bill James second in the Miss-N-Out shoot.

Bill James took first in the Annie Oakley contest, while Susan James and Carmen Eckhart tied for second.

Odessa Gun Club

At the Odessa Gun Club, both Nick Tebow and Markus Smith scored a perfect 25.

Jared Praetorius and Cody Stanford shot 24, while Ryan Lewis, Jon Fink and Bill Weber shot 23.

Hitting 22 targets were Doug Tebow, Jared King, Pilot Weishaar and Trevor Smith.

Lane Lobe, Nathan Melcher and Marcus King all shot 21.

Coming in with 20 targets and under were Daeton Deife, Tyler Smith, Meagan Kane, Brian Wraspir, Cade Weber, Camden Weber, Mitch Wraspir, Koree Smith, Shelby Smith and Paige Alloway.

High Handicap shooter for Odessa was Nick Tebow. High Doubles winners were Brian Wraspir and Jon Fink

Nathan Melcher won the Miss-n-Out contest, Pilot Weishaar the Annie Oakley contest and Jon Fink the Bushwacker contest.
