Reardan – After a career in education spanning decades, Reardan-Edwall School District Superintendent Marcus Morgan is retiring. Morgan is finishing his eleventh year with the school district. “It’s time to chase my grandson and spend time with my dear wife,” Morgan said “we plan to travel a little more and spend time with family.” Morgan has family members living in the Medical Lake, WA area and in Oregon.

Morgan studied at Washington State University before accepting a teaching job in Kettle Falls. “We only planned to stay in Kettle Falls a few years, but ended up staying for 24 years.” During his tenure at Kettle Falls, Morgan taught agriculture, physical education and algebra classes. He started a mechanics program and got a new mechanics facility built while working at Kettle Falls. Additionally, Morgan bought and ran a farm with cattle and up to 600 acres of hay.

After Kettle Falls, Morgan moved into administration in Chewelah, before accepting a job in Reardan.

Morgan is the patriarch of a family deeply involved with education. He has two daughters that work in schools.
