Youth sports awards announcement set for June 26

ODESSA — Another special event of particular interest to Odessa’s 2020 group of seniors is set to take place later this month at the 2020 Spokane Youth Sports Awards and will be broadcast on SWX on Friday, June 26, at 7 p.m. This ceremony celebrates the top athletes, coaches and teams in the region. SWX and Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) are sponsoring this broadcast-only event.

Nominated for the top male HS sports team in the 1B classification are both the Odessa High School basketball and football teams and the Almira/Coulee-Hartline baseball team. Nominated for high school sports top male athlete are Odessa’s Marcus King (football/basketball/baseball) and Ryan Moffett (basketball), along with Tru Allen (football/basketball) of Clarkston High and Kannon Katzer (football) of Mount Spokane High.
