Squatchi

When COVID-19 increased family time and heightened boredom, Marcella Buter, her husband Joseph and her two children, Aijia and Avery Bower, set to work building this model sasquatch on their property in Ford, nicknamed "Squatchi." "Squatchi" is nine feet tall and was made with wire, paper mache and fiberglass. He took about three months to make, Buter said.

She added that people often drive by to take pictures with "Squatchi," though neighbors have reportedly started referring to the model as "Daryl." Now, Buter is inviting children to come trick-or-treat and take a picture with "Squatchi" on Halloween. Their property is located about 20 minutes north of Reardan at 5335 WA-231. "We thought it'd be something fun for the kids to do while trick-or-treating," Buter said.
