Odessa knocks off Reardan in a sweep

Tigers get road victory to start both team's seasons

REARDAN--Melloney Diefe had 21 assists and the Odessa Tigers got a road victory in Reardan over the Indians Tuesday in straight sets, 25-16, 25-21, 26-24.

It was the first game for either school since Fall 2019, as the season has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emily Scrupps added 12 kills for Odessa, while Maddie Scrupps had eight digs. Diefe added four aces, and Jocelynn Hottell had three blocks for the victorious Tigers.

Kendall Little had 10 digs and two blocks for Reardan, while Emma Flaa had six assists and three kills. Coalie Whitman added three aces for the Indians.

Next up for Odessa is a doubleheader at home against Oakesdale and Mary Walker Saturday at noon and 4:30 p.m., while Reardan next heads on the road to take on Upper Columbia Academy on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
