The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

April 25

Traffic stops: 11

A caller said she was in a verbal argument with her roommate and landlord.

Two black cows were reported loose on the south side of Highway 2.

A Davenport man said his neighbors on the corner of 13th and Park Streets have three dogs that have been getting out and fighting in the street.

A caller said she received a phone call from a woman crying and screaming for help asking to “please come and get her.” When the caller asked who was calling her, she said a male voice took over the line and told her it was his daughter.

An Everett woman reported a few dozen cows and calves on the roadway a couple miles from Gunning Road on Cottonwood Creek.

An Almira man reported cows all over the roadway in the dark.

A large bonfire on the 32200 block of Hume Road near Deer Meadows was reported.

April 26

Traffic stops: 10

A caller reported a car alarm going off with foot prints around the vehicle and a strong smell of pot in the air.

Five cows outside a fence were reported five miles east of Sprague on Old Sprague Highway.

An abandoned vehicle was reported on Fictenberg Road in Davenport.

A caller from city maintenance wanted to discuss an abandoned gray minivan on the south side of Watson Street in a parking lot.

A Lincoln man said his back fence line T-post and wire was stolen.

A Davenport man said a truck hit his vehicle in a parking lot and left on Highway 2 westbound toward Creston.

A Reardan woman reported a car moving westbound into Reardan with poor lane travel across the highway since Airway Heights.

A Reardan man said there was a dark colored sedan and a white sedan driving up and down Waukon Road between Highway 2 and his residence on the 27000 block of North Waukon Road videoing each other with their phones and hanging out the window.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Highway 174 at milepost 26.

An Edwall man reported two suspicious vehicles two miles west of Waukon Road on Moos Road.

April 27

Traffic stops: 11

Colville Tribal Police requested assistance for a welfare check on a woman who was stranded with her four-year-old child after her vehicle broke down and she got lost thinking she was somewhere between Omak and Nespelem.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported to Lincoln Hospital for a rapid COVID-19 test.

A Spokane County Jail inmate was transported to Lincoln County Jail.

A caller said a man on the internet threatened her life, sending her a message on Facebook saying “do you want to die?”

A woman having a mental breakdown and hitting herself was reported.

A caller said his neighbor has been trespassing on his father’s property and has been told multiple times to stop taking garbage from his own property and trying to sneak and dump it in his father’s property.

A deer with a broken hind leg was reported on Sherman Draw Road north of Kunz Road 20 yards off the roadway.

A Davenport man requested assistance with hulk slips for two vehicles.

A Medical Lake woman reported an erratically driven semi tractor trailer westbound from Reardan that didn’t slow down through Reardan.

A Wilbur man reported suspicious circumstances at the Ferguson meat packing plant in Wilbur.

20 minutes later, the same Wilbur man said a red car driven by a female with a male in the passenger seat sporting a lot of tattoos pulled off onto Highway 21. The caller said he suspected the occupants could be doing drugs.

A Davenport woman said there were little kids climbing all over the batting cage netting at the softball field.

An abandoned motorhome with a damaged windshield was reported.

A Coulee Dam woman said she was following a white pickup truck that had crossed the center line multiple times.

April 28

Traffic stops: 9

A Kent woman said she hit a deer on Miles Creston Road and was now broken down on Highway 2 just west of Miles Creston Road.

Reardan Police reported a code violation.

A caller said a semitruck lost a tire in the westbound lane approximately a half a mile east of Roby Road.

A Davenport woman said Frontier Title, whom she works for, did a wire transfer to another title company and it wasn’t received on the other end. She said she called treasury management, who told her to file a local fraud report.

A Ford woman said a 10X10 shed on her property burned down.

A Davenport man reported a 59-year-old female suffering from dementia complications.

A caller said he locked his keys in his blue Ford F-150.

A caller reported a suspicious male in the area of the city park in Almira that scared some children.

April 29

Traffic stops: 2

Highline Grain Growers in Waterville reported a fire.

A Sprague woman requested a welfare check on her sister and children after the school called her and said they hadn’t seen the children for weeks.

A Davenport man reported an erratically driven BMW sedan westbound on Highway 2 from Davenport with bad passes and a driver going at least 100 mph.

The owner of the storage units in Creston said the lock on one of the units had been cut and tampered with.

Sergeant Gabe Gants reported a car crash with a tree on 8th and Main Street with a black pickup wrapped around a tree.

April 30

Traffic stops: 13

A Davenport man incarcerated in Grant County Jail wrote a letter to say there has been someone trespassing on his property on Marshall Street.

A caller said a driver of a pickup truck got into a verbal altercation due to a parking issue in the parking lot of Key Bank in Wilbur.

A caller said his cell phone was taken from his car while he was parked at the clinic.

A caller reported an unruly customer at the Wilbur Mini Mart.

Jail superintendent Kyle Hendrickson reported a suspicious car with a few broken windows driving recklessly on Highway 2 before turning southbound on Jannett Road.

May 1

Traffic stops: 18

A commercial burglary alarm went off at Lincoln Sand and Gravel.

An Almira man called asking for help, saying he was confused and didn’t know where he was.

A caller said her son’s father was speeding off in his car when he picked up the son, putting her son’s life in danger.

A possible DUI driver was reported eastbound on Highway 2 through Wilbur that had shown poor lane travel since Grand Coulee.

A caller reported a vehicle crash that left them bleeding in the face.

A caller reported a car driving quickly and passing poorly westbound on Highway 2 at milepost 265.

Monica Lenay Jackson, 24, Coulee Dam. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on charges of fourth-degree assault/domestic violence and operating a vehicle without a valid cab card, certification or license.

Randall Duane Hadley, Post Falls, operating a vehicle without a license. Case dismissed.

Sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours of community service and 12 months supervised probation on charge of operating a vehicle without a license.

Jennifer Grace Tangedal, Bend, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.

Louis Edwin Hutton III, Ford, third-degree driving with a suspended license and reckless driving. Reckless driving charge amended. Sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours of community service and 12 months supervised probation on suspended license charge.

Monica Jackson, Grand Coulee, disorderly conduct. Sentenced to one day in jail and 12 months supervised probation.

Michael Robert Ehrgott, Medical Lake, hit-and-run with damage only. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.
