DAVENPORT – A Creston man convicted of first-degree child molestation was sentenced to 12 months confinement in Lincoln County Jail.

Mathew Scott Chafin, 31, will also serve lifetime probation and five years of treatment after he was found guilty of the charge in Superior Court May 4.

Chafin originally pleaded guilty Dec. 15.

A jury trial date had been for March 20 and readiness status set for Feb. 16, according to Lincoln County Superior Court records.
