Was shut down for several hours

Last updated 6/17/2021 at 1:41pm

KELLER –Keller Ferry users who travel across the Columbia River on Highway 21 will need to find alternate routes.

The Keller Ferry, M/V Sanpoil, was removed from service earlier today due to issues with the rudder. Currently, there is no estimated time for the vessel to return to service.

Travelers planning a trip across the Columbia River on Highway 21 should choose an alternate route during the closure via Highway 25, or Highway 155 and Highway 174. Plan additional time for travel. It can take up to an hour to complete the detour.

UPDATE: As of 1:30 p.m. the Keller Ferry is back open after a several-hour closure.
