Rainwater, Soliday named to first-team all-NE2B

Stacia Soliday named Girls Coach of the Year

DAVENPORT – Two Gorillas are representing their school as all-NE2B First Team selections. Sophomore Tennesee Rainwater is on the first team for the boys, while senior Darby Soliday wrapped up an accomplished Davenport athletics career with a First Team nomination for the girls.

The Soliday family littered the All-NE2B teams overall, as Stacia Soliday was named NE2B girls basketball Coach of the Year, while sophomore Brenick Soliday was named to the boys Second Team.

The Davenport boys made the district title game where they fell to Colfax, while the Davenport girls fell in the district semifinals to eventual league champion Liberty.

Senior Ellie Telford was named to the girls Second Team.

Reardan was also represented on the All-League teams. Juniors Ayden Krupke and Madalyn Dewey made the girls Second Team after leading the Indians to a district playoff berth, while junior Cody Sprecher made the boys Third Team.

Colfax's John Lustig was named NE2B boys MVP, and his head coach Reece Jenkin was boys Coach of the Year. Lustig and Rainwater were joined on the boys First Team by Nick Watkins and Nico Morales of St. George's, Tayshawn Colvin of Liberty and Drew Kelly of Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.

Asher Cai of Colfax was named NE2B girls MVP. Cai and Darby Soliday were joined on the girls First Team by Dakota Killian of LRS, Teagan Colvin of Liberty, Mya Edwards of Kettle Falls, Cambrie Rickard of St. George's and Ellie Sander of Northwest Christian (Colbert).
