ODESSA – The 50th anniversary of the Odessa Deutschesfest finally became a reality last week. Not even the rain sprinkles that fell sporadically all day Saturday could put a damper on the crowds who devoured much of the food available and visited various vendors at the Street Fair, in addition to participating in the various activities of the Fest. On Thursday evening things got off to a good start with the chalk-drawing contest.
