The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Sept. 20

Traffic stops: 5

An Idaho man said he received several calls from his sister who told him he needed to call the police on her behalf.

A Davenport man said someone was illegally dumping garbage in the ditch on First and Marshall Streets.

A Reardan man reported an abandoned vehicle on the side of Crescent Road North.

A Reardan man said he was told by a lawyer to call the Sheriff’s Office because he is trying to buy property from someone whose daughter filed a quick claim title on that property in January.

A Brewster woman needed help changing a flat tire at the Wonder Mart in Wilbur because she was missing her tool to access her spare.

An abandoned boat was reported on a Lake Roosevelt beach.

A Nine Mile Falls woman said the Exxon in Davenport was robbed by three men.

A Sprague man said someone was illegally shooting on BLM land in the city.

A Davenport woman said her son wasn’t home when she arrived after dark. She said he normally would be home before dark or takes a radio to communicate.

A Seven Bays woman reported a campfire in a fire pit before the gated community on Seven Bays Road suspected of being campers burning garbage.

Sept. 21

Traffic stops: 9

A Cheney woman said she couldn’t get her horse back from a Lincoln County man.

A Davenport woman reported a dead fawn that was hit by a car in the middle of the road just north of Mondovi.

A 55-year-old male was reported suffering flu-like symptoms with vertigo.

A Davenport woman requested a welfare check on a Harrington woman she hadn’t heard from in three days.

Sept. 22

Traffic stops: 8

A caller said she was having a stroke and said the person she was talking to at the Sheriff’s Office was a telemarketer.

A Davenport woman reported fraud.

A one-vehicle rollover crash was reported in an undisclosed location.

A caller said there was a man laying in the bushes in a park that told him not to tell the cops they saw him.

A caller said someone was following her car too close, then passed her. Then, she saw the vehicle pulled over down the road. When she passed it, it pulled out behind her and tailgated her again.

A caller said she was going through a divorce with her husband and he broke a door at her residence.

Sept. 23

Traffic stops: 6

A Creston man said the cows were in his yard again.

A Wilbur man reported a suspicious vehicle with two people inside parked at the Wilbur pool.

An Edwall man said he was recently cited for having his cows out and they weren’t his, but since he has to go to court on his charges he wanted to report his neighbors for having yaks out.

Spokane County Jail said they were preparing to release a subject with a felony warrant in Lincoln County.

An elderly man was found disoriented on his floor in Odessa.

A Davenport man reported a man walking along the highway.

Trespassing was reported on Highway 28 around milepost 126.

Sept. 24

Traffic stops: 2

The Sprague School District reported a man was chasing girls in the park and was harassing students trying to get them to join him.

A 40-year-old female reportedly suffered a panic attack at the gazebo in Lincoln.

A non-injury car crash was reported in an undisclosed location.

A Davenport woman reported hearing an argument at her neighbor’s house on the 900 block of 11th Street.

Grant County reported a DUI situation eastbound on Highway 2 heading into Lincoln County.

A Creston woman reported a man walking with a young boy in a tricycle. She said the boy was carrying a rifle and shot a few times at something across from her house while standing in the middle of Anderson Street. She said the gun might have been a pellet gun and the boy could’ve been shooting at quail.

A caller reported a person at the park in Sprague sitting at a picnic table crying.

A caller reported a black BMW driving recklessly up and down First Street in Davenport.

Malicious mischief was reported at City Park in Reardan.

Threats were reported at Reardan High School.

Sept. 25

Traffic stops: 10

A caller reported a cow on the roadway at Highway 28 and Fitness Lane.

A disabled truck and boat trailer with two blown tires and hub seals were reported on Highway 25 at milepost 12.

A caller reported a white pickup truck with three people inside and a white car with two occupants in the parking lot of the school in Sprague that were involved in an altercation. The caller said the occupants of the truck seemed to be trying to stop the car from leaving.

A caller said she caught her neighbors taking the hinge off her gate and destroying the concrete that holds her mailbox in the ground.

A woman said a man came to her house, got in her face and was yelling at her.

A 62-year-old male fell and couldn’t get up.

Sept. 26

Traffic stops: 23

A woman said her ex threw hot coffee on her.

A caller said they think their neighbor is coming over at night and letting air out of the tires in their cars and bikes, but they said they don’t have any proof.

A caller said he lost his front license plate somewhere around Davenport.

A caller reported a man on a ladder scraping paint.

A Sprague man reported a group of children driving around the city on dirt bikes and a 4-wheeler.

A Creston woman reported a physical domestic issue in a trailer on the 300 block of Southwest C Street.

A Wilbur man said his mother hit a deer on Highway 2 at Sterritt Road.

JAIL BOOKINGS

Sept. 22

Matthew Korzonthowski, 41, Spokane. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of failure to comply.

Sept. 23

Gary Chandler Angell, 26, Medical Lake. Arrested by LCSO on charges of residential burglary, second-degree theft, first-degree identity theft and first-degree stolen property trafficking.

Bradley Andrew Wilson, 35, Davenport. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of driving under the influence.

Garrett Douglas Woods, 24, Hermiston. Arrested by Washington State Patrol on a charge of driving under the influence.

Sept. 24

Billy Jack Bragg, 24, Almira. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of reckless driving.

Criminal docket-Sept. 21

Wyatt Samual McClure, who was convicted of second-degree rape of a child in 2020, had a motion hearing to revoke his SOSSA sentence pushed to Sept. 28. The court directed McClure to be held in jail until then.

Brandy J. Hood, who is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, harassment with the threat to kill or cause bodily injury and fourth-degree assault, is in the process of a mental evaluation. The trial was continued to Oct. 5.

Perry David Bayes, who is charged with first-degree possession of stolen property, had his Oct. 6 jury trial struck in advance of Bayes likely taking a plea deal. The case was continued to Oct. 5.

Catherine Marie Herrman, who is charged with second-degree identity theft and three counts of second-degree theft, posted bond. A readiness hearing was set for Nov. 9 and a jury trial was set for Dec. 8.

LeVance Anthony Reed, who is charged with 10 counts of violation of a no-contact order, had his status conference pushed to Sept. 28 while Eastern State Hospital works to complete his mental evaluation.

Paul B. Brown and Lenora E. Brown, who are charged with second-degree theft, had their Oct. 20 trial struck. A readiness hearing was set for Nov. 9 and a jury trial was set for Dec. 1.

Riley John Patrick Vail, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a stolen vehicle, first-degree theft and two counts of second-degree vehicle prowling, reportedly has an agreement in process. His Oct. 6 trial was struck. A readiness hearing was set for Dec. 7 and a jury trial was set for Dec. 29.

Cody James Magruder, who holds the same charges as Riley Vail, failed to appear for a readiness hearing. His Oct. 6 trial was struck and the hearing was continued to Sept. 28.

Jason Jackson Knight, who is charged with seven counts of second-degree theft, two counts of second-degree vehicle prowling, two counts of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespassing, entered a not-guilty plea on amended information. A trial for Oct. 20 remains.

Damon Joseph Ashe of Deer Park, who is charged with second-degree identity theft, failed to make a preliminary appearance. He had bail set at $5,000 and a warrant was issued.

Edward Lee Luczak of Almira, who is charged with harassment with the threat to kill or cause bodily harm, failed to make a preliminary appearance. A warrant was issued and bail was set at $2,500.

Amy Elizabeth Wilsey of Chewelah, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and third-degree theft for allegedly stealing a 1998 Ford F150 and a license plate, entered a not-guilty plea and was issued a no-contact order with her co-defendant, Michael Gene Hubbs. Bail was set at $30,000. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 5 and a jury trial was set for Oct. 28.

Arthur J. Banko, who is charged with harassment with a previous conviction, an antiharassment/protection temporary order violation and weapons capable of producing harm display, entered a not-guilty plea. Bail was set at $50,000. A readiness hearing was set for Oct. 5 and a jury trial was set for Oct. 27.
