Crossover games to decide District 6, 7 football playoff berths

DAVENPORT—After the WIAA’s playoff allocations changed the 2B playoffs from a 16-bid tournament to a 12-bid tournament due to a slim drop in eligible teams, a four-game crossover play-in between District 7 and District 6 will decide the two district’s football state playoff participants.

The top four teams from each district, which includes the NE2B league in District 7 and CW2B league in District 6, will play each other. The winner of each game earns a berth into the 12-team state playoffs. Therefore, District 7 could send up to four teams to the playoffs…or none.
