YAKIMA – The Odessa Tigers volleyball team was awarded the fourth-place trophy last Friday at the Yakima Sun Dome. The Tigers sailed through day one of the tournament (Thursday) with a bye in the first round, a 3-1 win over Republic in the second round and a 3-0 win over Neah Bay in the third round. Day two is where things got a lot harder for the Odessa team. As luck would have it, Odessa faced Oakesdale, the eventual tournament champions, in round 4 of play on Friday, falling to that unbeaten team 0-3.
