Dec. 27

Traffic stops: 13

A caller said she hit a cougar on Highway 2 near milepost 254.5. She said she watched the cougar get up and limp off the roadway.

A Spokane woman requested a welfare check on her grandfather in Reardan.

A Reardan man said his neighbor came to his apartment on Moore Road North and threatened to shoot him.

A Davenport man said another man had made threats to kill him.

A welfare check was conducted at the Bureau of Land Management field office.

A county mailman said a Ford Taurus was stuck on the side of the northbound lane at milepost 243 on Highway 2.

A Davenport man said he locked his keys in his pickup truck.

An Edwall woman said her grandson showed up at her East Nance residence after hitchhiking from Cheney.

Grant County authorities said they were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle heading toward Lincoln County.

An expected death was reported in Edwall.

Dec. 28

Traffic stops: 12

A caller said his neighbor’s dogs were barking all day long and one of them, a pitbull, was ramming into the fence.

A Spokane woman asked if deputies would be present when her children got their COVID-19 vaccinations at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds that afternoon.

A caller said her mother wouldn’t give her the key to return home.

A Wenatchee woman asked for assistance if her son had violated a protection order.

A Reardan man reported identity theft.

A Bothell woman requested deputy assistance retrieving her property from a Harrington residence.

A Tonasket woman reported a possible driver under the influence westbound on Highway 2 from Janett Road.

A California woman requested a welfare check on a 74-year-old Harrington woman she hadn’t heard from in seven days.

A suspicious vehicle driven by several Wilbur youths was reported.

Dec. 29

Traffic stops: 17

A Creston man reported a possible driver under the influence with a car in a ditch.

A Creston woman said she was being harassed by a Spokane Tribal police officer that she believed was breaking into her house and her car.

A Davenport man reported a two-car crash at Seventh and Maxwell Streets.

An Odessa woman said someone tried to steal her car the previous night.

A Davenport man said a chocolate lab attacked his mom.

Dec. 30

Traffic stops: 2

A Kennewick woman reported a one-car rollover collision in an undisclosed location.

A Davenport man said a man from Inchelium was in one of his outbuildings on the 39500 block of Highway 25 North.

A woman said her dad was stuck in his car at Highway 21 and Eftner Road North near Keller Ferry.

A caller said they were throwing up.

A man came into the Sheriff’s Office to say he was rear-ended two miles away.

A caller reported people were shooting at her house on School House Road near Wilbur.

A caller from the Davenport Clinic said a patient called them and said he couldn’t get back in his camper on the 700 block of Southeast Railroad Avenue in Wilbur.

A sudden death was reported in Odessa.

A caller said her neighbor’s puppy had been outside too long.

A Davenport man said a vehicle pulled up to his house on the 500 block of Main Street and the occupants were looking at and under the vehicle with flashlights.

Dec. 31

Traffic stops: 16

A sudden death was reported in an undisclosed location.

A caller requested a welfare check on her father she hadn’t heard from in two months. She said her father lives in Odessa and was last seen shoveling snow outside his house by a neighbor.

An Odessa man said someone threw a rock at his property.

A 27-year-old male reported lacerating his thumb in an alcohol-related incident.

Traffic stops: 13

An open-line 911 call came from a residence on the 19200 block of Limestone Road between Davenport and Edwall.

A caller requested a welfare check on her mother whom she hadn’t heard from in a few days.

Jan. 2

Traffic stops: 3

An unoccupied vehicle with its flashers on was reported.

A fire was reported at the Avista substation in Davenport.

A caller said there was a loud expolision noise on the southeast side of Wilbur and the town had lost power.

U.S. Bank security said one of their banks was showing a power outage and asked a deputy to check on the bank.

A caller reported a woman walking north on Highway 231 carrying a grocery bag.

A caller reported an unoccupied disabled vehicle on Bisson and Tramm Roads northeast of Reardan.

A Wilbur man said three men in a pickup truck were trespassing on his property on the 32400 block of Crick Road North despite being told by Fish and Wildlife that hunting season was over.

A caller reported a Honda with poor lane travel and a black bag blowing out the window westbound on Highway 2 from milepost 270.

Dec. 29

Kathryn Mae Vowels, 28, Spokane Valley. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of driving under the influence.

Dec. 31

Todd Alan Goodall, 57, Davenport. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of driving under the influence.

Criminal docket-Dec. 28

Mark A. Pleger was found guilty of second-degree burglary and second-degree theft for breaking into a shop on the 28900 block of East Highway 2 and stealing a snowblower, toolbox, barstool and other tools on Nov. 23 and was sentenced to six months plus 90 days in jail. Restitution fees are to be determined.

Felicia A. Sanford, who is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief for allegedly assaulting two people, including her mother and causing damage to her mother’s home in Edwall on Dec. 20, entered a not-guilty plea. Bond was set at $2,500. A readiness hearing was set for Jan. 25 and a jury trial was set for March 16.

Nathan David King, who is charged with residential burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief, plans to change his plea Jan. 4. He entered a not-guilty plea Nov. 30.

Ethan Robert Mellick, who is charged with second-degree assault with substantial bodily harm, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for Feb. 22 and a jury trial was set for March 16.
