Tiger girls squeeze out win over ACH

Girls Basketball

COULEE CITY – Of the three games scheduled for last week, only one was actually played thanks to the weather and Covid. Tuesday's non-league game against Oakesdale was cancelled due to hazardous road conditions, but the league contest on Friday in Coulee City went ahead as scheduled. Saturday's game to be played in Wilbur was also cancelled due to a major Covid outbreak there.

The Tiger girls got off to a slow start after the holiday break when they faced Almira-Coulee-Hartline last week. Fortunately for the team, they pulled things together in the second half and ended the game with a two-point lead.

Hayden Schuh led the scoring with 15 points. Ashlyn Neilsen contributed another 11 points.

Odessa 4 3 16 12 35

Schuh also led the team in rebounds with nine and was named the Odessa player of the game. New games have been added to the schedule for this week. See Calendar of Events on page 1.
