Harrington personalities for 2022

HARRINGTON--In lieu of news this week, the reader is presented with some of the groups in Harrington and the personalities associated with them.

The Harrington School Board has two carry-overs from the preceding year, Mark Kramer and Darren Mattozzi, and three new members, Jonathan Evans, Michelle Quigley and Justin Slack. Quigley won the seat as Chair.

Personnel of school district administration School District are, in part, Principal Tiffany Clouse, Superintendent Wayne Massie and Nurse Ronda Cordill,

The continuing PTA president is Carolyn Mattozzi.

The Harrington Area Chamber of Commerce elected Paula Harrington as its current President. She is joined by Vice President Cherie MacClellan, Secretary Joe Armand and Treasurer Cindy Haase.

A recent ad in The Lincoln Advertiser mentioned the addition to their membership of The Marketplace, Johnson Family Towing and The Parker Family Farm Mohler.

It states: “As a Chamber member you are part of a team of almost 30 businesses and individuals that share a commitment to Harrington and the future of our community. Through the Chamber membership, you can participate with others on committees and projects that can provide exposure to the community and visitors of Harrington.”

At the January meeting of the Harrington Opera House Society the following officers were elected: President Carol Giles, Vice President Mark Stedman, Secretary Bunny Haugan, Treasurer Becky Moeller and Historian and Financial Consultant Edwin Haugan.

The City is now under the leadership of Mayor Jess Silhan, who began studying our type of city government last May when he submitted his name for consideration. The city clerk is Jere Lee.

The city council that supports Harrington has one new member this year, Joe Armand, who joins David Buddrius, Levi Schenk, Peter Davenport and Stephen Hardy

The chair of the Harrington Historic Preservation Commission is Dianne Sanchez and the secretary is Karen Allen.

A recent listing of the Harrington Public Development Authority was not located, but the latest officers are President Jay Gossett, Secretary Heather Slack, and Treasurer Paul Charlton.
