Last updated 4/6/2022 at 12:11pm

REARDAN--High winds gusting between 40 and 60 miles per hour have been relentlessly pounding Lincoln County and the surrounding Inland Northwest area today. As of 4 p.m., downed trees had been reported in downtown Reardan on South Lake Street, Crescent Road north of town and Porcupine Bay Road north of Davenport.

The Crescent Road tree trapped power lines and began to smoke, but Fire District No. 4 crews on scene said no one had lost power as of 3 p.m.

(UPDATE: Avista reported two outages affecting 55 customers due to this downed tree and subsequent downed line at 4:22 p.m.)

These photos detail Lincoln County Public Works, Reardan Public Works and Fire District No. 4 crews hard at work assessing damages and removing trees from roadways where they are able to.

The National Weather Service has a High Wind Warning in effect until 11 p.m. tonight. Blowing dust was seen on Highway 2 and could continue through the rest of tomorrow.
