Off-road racers return for Desert 100

50th anniversary event to attract hundreds to Odessa

Frostbite Grand Prix races make their way through the sagebrush on the course south of Odessa, off state Highway 21. The event was a tune-up for this weekend's Desert 100.

ODESSA – Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts and racers are expected to ride into the area this weekend as the Stumpjumpers Motorcycle Club's 50th anniversary Desert 100 pits racers and their machines against a grueling course through the sagebrush.

Race enthusiasts will begin arriving today, Thursday, March 31, and remain through Sunday, April 3.

The race site is south of town, off of state Highway 21, parking is not allowed along the highway.
