April 18

Traffic stops: 14

Theft was reported in Reardan.

A caller reported roofing material on a roadway.

A caller said someone cut the lock and went through an old building on a business’s property.

An issue with a youth was reported at the school in Reardan.

A welfare check was requested at the school in Reardan.

A Creston man said a red pickup truck drove down his street on the 300 block of Northeast Foster Street and tried to do a U-Turn before the truck stalled and died. The man said the driver told him he needed someone to blow in the ignition interlock to get it started.

A caller from Coulee Dam Police reported a two-car noninjury crash at Brace and Main Streets in Wilbur.

A Davenport woman said Roman candles had been lit near the corner of Gunning and Jantz Roads.

A caller said four people trespassed on his property and started a fire with a cigarette butt on the 121000 block of Haden Road south of Wilbur.

A disabled vehicle with a driver that pulled over to read emails was reported on Highway 25 at milepost 11.

A 71-year-old Davenport woman requested an ambulance after she said she was coughing up blood.

A Sprague woman said she got a text message from an unknown number that included a picture of a young woman with her shirt up holding her breasts.

April 19

Traffic stops: 12

A caller reported vandalism at the Lincoln County Museum in Davenport.

A caller reported a stranded motorist two miles west of grain scales.

A two-vehicle car crash was reported in an undisclosed location.

A Davenport woman reported a fire in the Egypt area.

A Harrington man said there were ducks in a pen on the corner of Second and Main Streets and wanted to know if the Sheriff’s Office could do anything about that.

A Reardan caller said they saw a man beating up a girl in a silver car outside the local community hall.

A Harrington woman said she could hear three youths in the dark playing at the playground at Harrington School.

A Medical Lake man said his neighbors told him about a suspicious SUV on his property off Waukon Road.

April 20

Traffic stops: 3

An apparently hungry caller mistakenly called the Sheriff’s Office thinking it was the number for Pizza Hut.

A caller requested a welfare check on a local man whose van door was left open who hadn’t been heard from all day.

A Walla Walla man reported a substantial number of cows loose at the top of Hawk Creek.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said a local man was called in drinking alcohol in his car at the Circle K in Ritzville.

A caller said a bag of baseball bats and other gear was stolen out of their vehicle.

A Reardan woman said a small sedan pulled into and parked in their driveway on the 600 block of West Broadway Avenue.

April 21

Traffic stops: 17

A caller reported a vehicle lockout at 12th and Morgan Streets.

A wanted person was reported by Reardan Police.

A Reardan woman on the 35200 block of Highway 231 North said she thought her neighbors might be operating a puppy mill after she found a dog that looked like it had been nursing a dozen puppies.

An Edwall man said a black pickup truck dropped off a giant boat on Telecky Road blocking the entire roadway.

April 22

Traffic stops: 9

Property theft was reported in Reardan.

A panic alarm was reported going off on the 500 block of South F Street in Sprague.

A Davenport man said his neighbor built a pole barn and put four horses inside it on the 42100 block of Osprey Road North in Deer Meadows.

A caller said two youths shot at his vehicle with gel BBs in Davenport at Third and Morgan Streets.

April 23

Traffic stops: 35

A caller said his son’s mother was violating their custody order.

A caller reported an overheated vehicle.

A caller from the Kickin’ Coffee stand in Reardan said they had a driver come through their stand that appeared impaired by alcohol.

A caller reported a driver swerving on the roadway while speeding up and slowing down.

A Seven Bays woman said her neighbor came to her house and was yelling at her and calling her names while she was burning.

A caller said a driver stopped at the end of her driveway and threw out a Twisted Tea can.

April 24

Traffic stops: 22

A caller reported a one-vehicle rollover crash.

A caller requested a welfare check on her cousin, whom the caller’s aunt was talking to on the phone before the line disconnected.

A caller reported a vehicle lockout on the 700 block of Marshall Street in Davenport.

A man wearing blue boxer shorts in a black sedan was reported one mile east of Highway 231 on Snider Road northeast of Sprague.

A caller reported possible animal abuse on the 42600 block of Highway 23 East outside Sprague.

A Spokane man said he was hit by a black SUV on Highway 231 before the suspect vehicle fled southbound toward Reardan.

A Davenport man said his neighbor’s dog was ruining his fence on the 900 block of 14th Street.

A caller said someone stole five gallons of gas from his trailer near Sixth and Ross Streets in Davenport.

An Edwall man said two strange men knocked on his daughter’s door on the 18900 block of Waukon Road North.

Lacynda McGill of Kennewick was found guilty of second-degree attempting to take a motor vehicle and was sentenced to 22 days in jail with credit for 22 days served, 12 months supervised probation and 12 months unsupervised probation.

Criminal docket-April 19

Rachel Gayle Newell had a resentencing hearing set for May 24. She was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being found guilty of second-degree burglary, second-degree malicious mischief and third-degree theft in Sept. 2020. She also had a case of second-degree possession of stolen property dismissed with prejudice last Tuesday.

Joseph Lee Sharr pleaded guilty to criminal mischief with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Cody James Magruder, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, two counts of second-degree vehicle prowling and second-degree malicious mischief, waived his right to a speedy trial. A readiness hearing was set for May 24 and a jury trial was set for June 15.

Kendra Marie Tonasket, who is charged with second-degree identity theft, failed to appear for a show cause hearing and her attorney, David Hearrean, said he’d lost contact with her. A bench warrant with no bail was given for Tonasket’s arrest. Her last known address is in Spokane.

Ryan James Stewart, who is charged with residential burglary, five counts of second-degree theft with an access device, third-degree theft and possession of another’s identification, waived his right to a speedy trial. A readiness hearing was set for June 21 and a jury trial was set for July 13.

Masonn Marsh Hunter, who is charged with second-degree perjury and making a false statement to a public servant, waived his right to a speedy trial. A readiness hearing was set for May 10 and a jury trial was set for June 8.

Nicole Jane Drake, who is charged with residential burglary and driving without a license, failed to appear for a status hearing. A warrant was issued for her arrest with bail set at $5,000.

Colton Kenneth Jacobsen, who is charged with two counts of first-degree unlawful hunting of big game, was directed to be booked and released in Lincoln County Jail. A readiness hearing was set for June 21 and a jury trial was set for July 13.
