Many Gorillas qualify for district champs

29 Davenport athletes to compete in Liberty Lake

Davenport's Flavie De Saint Jean, Emily Kiser and Glenna Soliday compete in the girls' 100m hurdles at the NE2B North Division Championships in Chewelah Tuesday, May 10. De Saint Jean and Soliday qualified to advance to the district championships in the event.

CHEWELAH-Like their Reardan neighbors to the east, Davenport track and field will be abundantly attending the District 7 Championships at Ridgeline High School in Liberty Lake May 20-21 after another successful meet at the North Division Championships Tuesday, May 10.

The Davenport boys won yet another team meet while qualifying a good chunk of their athletes, while the girls finished in second place behind St. George's.

The top four athletes in laned events and the top six athletes in field events, the 1600 meters and 3200 meters qualified for the district championships.

Athletes at districts will compete to qualify for the 2B state championship meet at Eastern Washington University in Cheney at the end of May.

The following Gorillas kept their individual seasons alive with qualifying performances at sub-districts Tuesday. Their event placements and scores are indicated.
