A packed house enjoyed the orchestra music of "Group Therapy," presented at the Opera House Sunday, May 15.

HARRINGTON – The local Opera House Society was pleased to present JayDean Ludiker and her fiddle orchestra, "Group Therapy" Sunday afternoon May 15 to a spirited full house. The show started with "Down Yonder," earning a warm round of applause welcoming the performers.

Over 20 fiddle musicians on stage and the natural acoustics of the auditorium filled the house and carried the lively music out into the streets. Each tune was introduced with background information, history & humor.

Favorites such as "Red Wing", "You are my Sunshine" and "Aint we got Fun" encouraged toe tapping, hand clapping and several sing-a longs. Dancing was also to be seen in the aisles.

Between sets the performers mingled with the audience, always a special treat at the Opera House.

Laughter, song and great fiddle music indeed offered uplifting therapy for all in attendance. The generous proceeds received provide funds to benefit regional fiddle contests through "Ludiker Music" and support for the maintenance of the Historic Bank Block building. A visitor from Pennsylvania was awarded the door prize for the most distance traveled to attend the show.

The afternoon performance ended with many calls for an encore, and the group performed the Tick-Tock Polka to send the audience on its way home.
