Eugene F. Worley

Nov. 19th, 1937 - May 30th, 2022

Eugene F. Worley of Odessa, Wash. passed away on May 30th, 2022. He was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Nov. 19th, 1937 to Marion and Mabel Worley. Gene married Shirley Frederick in November of 1958, and together they settled down in Odessa where he worked for the railroad for 43 years as a Machine Operator. They later raised a family of two children Mark and Sherry (Mcmillan) Worley.

Gene was all about the adventures, from hunting deer and elk, fishing, to taking the grandkids camping, going to the beaches, and loved his free time playing the slot machines at the casinos. He also enjoyed cooking Kraut Ranzas, Cabbage Rolls, Kuchen, Beer can Chickens, Smoked Salmon, Deer Jerky, and was very good at baking his famous apple pies and rhubarb crisp. If you knew Gene these were just some of his pastimes that everyone enjoyed about him.

He is survived by his son Mark Worley of Odessa, Wash. and Daughter Sherry (Pat) Mcmillan of Yakima, Wash., four grandchildren Derrick, Kyle, and Cody Mcmillan, and Katelyn (Jimenez) Worley, along with many great-grandchildren. Gene is also survived by his three sisters, Betty, Iva, and Shirley.

Gene is preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Frederick) Worley, his parents, brothers Jim, Bill, and Larry Worley, his Father and mother-in-law Louie and Alma Frederick.

Everyone who knew Gene knows he was an amazing Father, Grandpa, Brother, and Friend who will be greatly missed. May his memories live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren?

The memorial service will be held on July 9th, 2022 at 11 am in the Heritage Church of Odessa, Wash. and later followed by a potluck.
