Cross country runners compete at Valley Christian, Shadle Park

SPOKANE—While most fall sports require a ball, the runners of cross country just require a course where they can put their best times to the test against themselves and competitors from B schools around Eastern Washington.

Davenport and Reardan cross country runners took those first tests last week. The middle school boys and girls, junior varsity boys and varsity girls ran at a jamboree at Valley Christian Thursday, Sept. 8, while the varsity boys joined those squads at the Highlander Invitational at Shadle Park Saturday, Sept. 10.
