Chicken ordinance to be amended

HARRINGTON- City Council discussed the chicken ordinance at a board meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 12
"The chicken ordinance has never been completed or updated," Mayor Jess Silhan said.
“So when anybody asks about the chicken ordinance, they get the old ordinance.".
Amendments to the ordinance are being updated and will be discussed further on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Councilmember Stephen Hardy mentioned the possibility of moving City Hall and asked the council if they would be ready to vote on whether they intend to move or not.
Water line bids will be received and opened on Thursday, Oct. 20.
Council will hear the bids and decide which bidder is best to help repair the waterline.
The winning bidder will be announced at the council's next meeting.
Public works employee Troy Crawford said that the shop roof was leaking and he is preparing the snow plow for winter.
