In an article in the Jan. 5 issue of The Record-Times, we inaccurately wrote that the Lincoln County Republican Central Committee chair decided to deny the applications of two candidates for a county commissioner vacancy due to an editorial editor. That decision was made by local Precinct Committee Officers, making the decision the committee’s, not the chair’s.
